AI Hug Video with a Loved One Who Has Passed
AI hug videos spread quickly on TikTok and Instagram. The trend began with people hugging their younger selves. Before long, many were using it for something more personal: one more hug with a parent, grandparent or partner who has died.
That is the video we make. From a photo of the two of you, our team uses AI to create a short memorial scene. The photo comes to life, you hold each other, and then your loved one remains, smiling back at you. You don't need an app or any editing skills.

What Happens in an AI Hug Video
Every video is made for one family, but most follow the same gentle shape:
- 1The photo comes alive. The still picture begins to breathe. A smile widens, hair moves in the breeze, the light shifts.
- 2You hold each other. The two of you turn and hug, the way you used to.
- 3You step back into the light. Your figure softly fades away, leaving your loved one on their own.
- 4They smile at you. Your loved one looks toward the camera and smiles, perhaps with a nod or a wave goodbye.
If you'd like something different, such as a hand on the shoulder instead of a hug, or a gesture they always made, tell us in the special requests.
Free AI Hug Apps or a Video Made for You
Search for an AI hug video generator and you'll find plenty of free apps and websites. You upload one or two photos, pick a hug template and get a clip in a minute or two. They are a good way to try the idea and see how it feels.
We work differently. Our team makes each video from your photos and your wishes, and checks it before it is sent. For a video of someone you've lost, that care matters: a hand in the wrong place or a face that drifts can be hard to watch.

Choosing a Photo for a Natural Hug
A hug involves bodies as well as faces, so the photo matters even more than usual.
- A photo of the two of you standing or sitting close together gives the most natural embrace.
- Show at least your upper bodies. With a close-up of faces, the AI has to guess where arms and shoulders go.
- Make sure both faces are clear, and neither of you is cut off at the edge of the frame.
- If you have one, add a second photo of your loved one on their own, so we can see their face clearly.
- Old prints work well. Scan them, or photograph them flat in daylight without glare.

How to Order
- 1Upload your photos. Up to two: one of you together, and one of your loved one on their own if you have it.
- 2Tell us about them. Their name, the mood you'd like, and anything the video should include, such as a favourite song.
- 3Get your video by email. A 1080p MP4 within 48 hours. If something doesn't feel right, we revise it once for free.
Before You Watch or Share It
A hug can be harder to watch than a smile. Some people cry, some feel comforted, some find it strange. All of those are normal.
- Watch it on your own first, somewhere quiet.
- Ask family before you share it, and tell them it was made with AI. Not everyone will want to see it.
- If you post it on TikTok, Instagram or YouTube, label it as AI-generated. These platforms ask creators to label realistic AI content.
- Use only photos you have the right to use, and never make a hug video of a living person without their consent.

Questions
Can you make a hug video from two separate photos?
A photo of the two of you together gives the most natural hug. If you only have separate photos, upload one of each and explain in the special requests. We'll email you to say what we can do before we start.
Can I post it on TikTok or Instagram?
Yes. You receive an MP4 file that plays on any phone and can be shared like any other video. Please label it as made with AI when you post it.
How much does it cost, and how long does it take?
$9.90 per video, including music and one free revision. We email the finished video within 48 hours of your order.
Will the hug look real?
It should feel natural, but it is an artistic recreation from a photo, not real footage. Arms and hands are the hardest part of a hug for AI to get right. If anything looks wrong, tell us and we'll revise it.
What happens to my photos?
We use them only to make your video. They are deleted automatically within 30 days, and we never use them to train AI models of our own.
